Below, you will find a travel guide filled with several days worth of fun and engaging ways to learn from our experts, connect with nature, explore our local communities, dine, shop and relax.

Day 1:

SHORELINE STROLL

When you arrive at the Tides, explore our Shoreline Trail and walk along Carter’s Creek and our Oyster Reef. During your stroll, learn about our recent restoration project that included the addition of 42 new trees, 10,600 shoreline plants and 10,900 upland plants.

MAKER SPACE

Join us in our Maker Space, your personalized open studio. Artistic opportunities include pottery-on-the-wheel, clay pinch-pot making, watercolor painting, sketching and more.

DINNER AT SALT & MEADOW

Visit our restaurant, Salt & Meadow. Indulge in delicious seafood such as our Fish of the Day, Steamboat Wharf Oysters and more.

Day 2:

IN-ROOM DINING WITH A VIEW

Enjoy breakfast in bed…with a view. Place your order for a delicious breakfast from our In-Room Dining Menu.

MORNING ON THE COURTS

Start your day with a friendly match on the Tides Inn’s tennis and pickleball courts, surrounded by fresh coastal air and scenic waterfront views.

LUNCH AT FISH HAWK

Enjoy a relaxed waterfront lunch at Fish Hawk, savoring fresh local seafood and Chesapeake Bay favorites with beautiful marina views.

DINNER IN TOWN

In the evening, take one of our cruiser bikes for a short ride into town and dine at a local restaurant, such as The Office Bistro, Dredge or Colonnade. Take the Tides shuttle to Adrift, a bistro located in White Stone.

Day 3:

BOUTIQUE SHOPPING

We invite you to pay a visit to the Tides Inn Boutique for an array of clothing, gifts and regional gourmet snacks. The town of Irvington has unique shops and boutiques to visit, too, such as Sweet Tea Boutique and Irvington Home Goods.

CHESAPEAKE GOLD

Led by our ecologist, this outdoor workshop teaches guests about our famous mollusk residents, oysters, and the shoreline restoration project at the Tides Inn.

PASTA MAKING

Join us as we explore the art of pasta making. A member of our culinary team will guide you step-by-step on how to make your own fresh pasta and prepare a delectable dish.

Day 4:

MORNING AT THE POOL

Spend a leisurely morning by the pool, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the tranquil waterfront setting of the Tides Inn.

AFTERNOON AT THE TIDES

The world is your oyster. Engage in sightseeing along the bay, discover our new Woodland Trail on bike or on foot, test your skills and win a prize with our new scavenger hunt, great for adults and children alike.

MASTER CLASS & WINE TASTING

Led by food and beverage manager and in-house sommelier, you will learn about the uniqueness and popularity of wine varietals as you swirl and sip your way to demystifying the terminology and vinification of grapes.

DINNER AT SALT & MEADOW

On your last night, enjoy dishes you might have missed. For a nightcap, order a signature cocktail at the bar adorned by our iconic liquor lockers.

Day 5:

DEPARTURE DAY

Start your day off with our Morning Stretch class, play a game of pickleball with our new custom paddles, visit the Historic Christ Church or stop by the nearby Steamboat Era Museum to learn about the era of the steamboats that plied the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. The day of departure is yours to enjoy. You might choose to spend your time doing something new, or by revisiting an activity you found especially fun or enriching.
