A Coastal Autumn at the Tides Inn

October 28, 2025

As the air turns crisp and the leaves take on a golden glow, fall settles beautifully over the Tides Inn. The season brings peaceful days to Carter’s Creek - perfect for fireside cocktails, nature walks and cozy weekends by the bay.

A Season to Savor

Fall is one of the most beautiful times to visit the Tides Inn. Sailboats drift by, local oysters are at their peak and our culinary team celebrates the best of Virginia’s autumn harvest – from locally inspired dishes at Salt & Meadow to fresh ingredients gathered from our own garden.

Thanksgiving at the Tides Inn

This Thanksgiving, gather at Salt & Meadow for a coastal-comfort feast crafted by Executive Chef Kyle Perkins and his culinary team.

Highlights include traditional favorites with a twist – candied yams, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and crispy Brussels sprouts – alongside a carving station featuring roasted turkey and prime rib. Guests can also enjoy a seafood station with oysters, shrimp, salmon, and crab claws, followed by a dessert station to end the meal on a sweet note.

Pair your meal with featured wines, autumn-inspired cocktails and seasonal surprises for a truly memorable celebration.

Just a short, scenic ride away, the Urbanna Oyster Festival (November 7–8, 2025) celebrates Virginia’s oyster heritage with shucking contests, live music and endless coastal flavors.
