It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new Managing Director of the Tides Inn. Having lived in Virginia for the past six years, I’ve grown to appreciate the rich history, scenic beauty and distinct charm of this incredible state—especially the Northern Neck region, where the Tides Inn has been a beloved waterfront destination for decades.
I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the world’s finest luxury hotels and resorts throughout my career, but there is something truly special about the Tides Inn. Over the past four years, the resort has undergone remarkable enhancements, blending its storied past with thoughtful new additions that make each visit even more memorable.
Last year, we introduced Salt & Meadow, our signature restaurant, where guests enjoy fresh, locally inspired dishes while overlooking Carter’s Creek. The addition of our cocktail bar, framed by the Tides’ iconic liquor lockers and a new private dining space, the Marsh Room, offers the perfect setting for unforgettable gatherings.
Our rooms and suites in the main inn have been completely reimagined with additional space, spa-like bathrooms and upgraded amenities. The Stephens Suite, at 1,400 square feet, has quickly become a guest favorite, while the Ashburn Suites, offering up to 822 square feet and pristine water views, are equally beloved.
For those planning special events, the newly renovated Cove Room, Sun Room and Cardinal Room provide elegant venues for every occasion and of any size.
Nature has always been at the heart of the Tides Inn experience. Guests can explore the Shoreline Trail, visit our five-acre Tides Inn Farm or play in and on the water at our expanded beach and marina. The Sunset Bluff has become a sought-after setting for wedding ceremonies, offering breathtaking views of the creek.
