Team Building Activities
Life on Carter's Creek
During this educational tour of the new Shoreline Trail, oyster reef and wetlands, guests learn how our shoreline restoration impacts the environment and establishes an improved habitat for aquatic life in the Chesapeake Bay.
Chesapeake Gold
Learn why oysters are the keystone species of the Chesapeake Bay. Visit the Tides Inn oyster farm, pull up the cages and investigate the catch. Return to the shore for an oyster tasting with local wine and beer.
Sunrise Yoga and Meditation
Begin your day of meetings with your colleagues in a positive state of mind with a morning yoga and meditation class. Classes may take place indoors or outdoors.
Shoreline Sweat
Designed for wellness and outdoor enthusiasts, the Shoreline Sweat will bring your guests close to nature while getting their heart rates up.
Pickleball Party
Pair off to compete on the Tides Inn pickleball courts. Add a Mimosa or Bloody Mary bar courtside to complete the party.
Pinch Pot Pottery
Guided by our resident artist, invite your guests to explore their artistic sides and bring home pottery keepsakes from your event at the Tides Inn.
Wine Tasting
The Tides Inn is located on Virginia’s Wine Trail – where wines of the Old World & New World meet. Learn wine terminology, varietals, and regions as you sip and swirl like an expert.
Wine & Watercolor
Engage in a painting class with inspiration and step-by-step guidance from our resident artist. This activity is made all the better with a wine and cheese pairing designed to foster the creative process.
Mixology Class
Your team members will experiment with flavor combinations, ratios and garnishes as they learn how to create handcrafted cocktails - from old classics to seasonal favorites - and stir up some fun together.
Bonfire on the Beach
End each night with a private bonfire, outfitted with homemade marshmallow s’mores and a private bar.
Beach Day
Enjoy a variety of beach games, such as bocce ball, giant Jenga, ladder ball and corn hole.
Croquet on the Creek
Come dressed to impress and enjoy a leisurely game of croquet overlooking the Carter’s Creek while enjoying local wine and chef’s bite-sized food pairings.
The Spa
The Spa at the Tides Inn offers a range of classic spa treatments and soothing spa products, designed to pamper, nourish and feed your mind, body and spirit. All of our treatment rooms may be reserved at one time to accommodate your group’s needs.
Golden Eagle Golf Course
Designed by famed golf course designer George W. Cobb, Golden Eagle is known for its beautiful backdrop. Carved from the Virginian landscape, with rolling hills and lakes, the 18-hole golf course is enjoyable for professionals and beginners alike.
