Here, learning happens naturally. Join us on the shoreline to learn about oyster restoration and the keystone species that keep the Bay thriving. Walk our trails using our illustrated map, looking for native bird and plant species along the way. Or, step into our Maker Space, where hands-on workshops – from pottery-making to oyster shell crafts – are designed to encourage guests of all ages to create something inspired by the Bay.

Shoreline Tour
Join our team for a complimentary walk along our Shoreline Trail. The Tides Inn Living Shoreline is a cornerstone of our waterfront and a reflection of our commitment to the Chesapeake Bay. As part of our renovation, we created the largest living shoreline on the East Coast, replacing bulkheads with native grasses and oyster shell to reduce erosion, improve water quality and create habitat.

While a guest at our resort, we invite you to connect with nature on three trails: Shoreline Trail, Woodland Trail and Forest Trail. You will find a copy of our map in your guest room. The concierge will be happy to provide you with extra copies.
