Artistic Experiences in Chesapeake Bay
Nature’s Art
Create a textured mixed media collage using items found in the Chesapeake Bay region including driftwood, oyster shells and dried flowers.
Watercolors & Mimosas Cruise
Resident artist Theresa Schneveis takes her art lessons on the water: As you cruise Carter’s Creek—gaining inspiration from the resident wildlife and lush scenery—she’ll outline the basics of watercolor painting. Create your own masterpiece, then celebrate with a mimosa.
Painting and Pinot
Join our artist, Theresa, as she guides you through the process of painting with acrylics. Enjoy a charcuterie board while sipping on wine. All talent levels are welcome.
Kokedama
Join us in the Maker Space for our new Kokedama workshop with artist, Theresa Schneveis. This class focuses on the Japanese bonsai art of wrapping plant roots in soil and moss, then binding them with string. Once wrapped, the plants can be suspended from the ceiling, hooks or shelves.
Pottery on the Wheel
Our resident artist, Theresa, will guide you step-by-step to master the wheel as you make your own unique ceramic piece. Class includes two pieces to be glazed, fired and shipped.
Bespoke Mugs—A Clay Handbuilding Class
With help from our resident artist, Theresa Schneveis, design and craft your own bespoke mug through the process of handbuilding, or creating pottery without a wheel. Add a personalized touch by pressing locally foraged plant pieces into your clay for texture or decoration—and a reminder of the natural beauty of the Tides Inn.
