Fourth of July at the Tides Inn
Kick off the holiday weekend with a scenic seaplane rides with Seaplane Sam, offering a memorable perspective of the Chesapeake Bay from above from 9 – 1 PM.
Then don’t miss the Annual Carter’s Creek Boat Parade from the Tides Inn beach at 2 PM.
Enjoy live music on the Tides Inn beach from 5:30–8 PM with Jonathan Walsh (acoustic) along the shoreline – the perfect way to settle into a summer evening on Carter’s Creek.
In the evening, limited seating will be available for a special five-course tasting menu at Salt & Meadow, with seating promptly at 6:30 PM. We will be offering À la carte service from our Salt and Meadow menu as well for those that chose not to enjoy the tasting menu.
The experience is $150 per guest, with optional wine pairings available for $75.

From 12–5 PM, enjoy a lively afternoon by the pool with a DJ spinning summer favorites throughout the day.
In the evening, join us for a festive All American Barbecue on the Lawn from 6–9 PM, featuring live music from the Mango Thieves.
Pricing is $120 per adult and $75 for children
While we do not host fireworks onsite, local displays are often visible from Carter’s Creek, offering a festive close to the evening.
*Please note that the last cruise departs at 4 PM, and Duffy boat rentals are limited to morning reservations only. Our regular signature experiences (excluding the Watermen’s Experience and Chesapeake Gold) will be offered throughout the day, inviting you to explore, relax, and celebrate along the Chesapeake Bay.
Keep the celebration going with lawn games available all day, from cornhole and bocce to life-size Jenga and Connect Four along the waterfront.
A poolside DJ from 12–5 PM will bring an upbeat summer soundtrack to the afternoon.
Enjoy U.S. history–themed Trivia at Fish Hawk from 3–4:30 PM.
As evening falls, gather for a movie and popcorn in our Osprey room at 8:00 PM, the perfect relaxed finale to a festive day.
Our signature Tides Inn experiences will also be offered throughout the day, inviting you to explore and connect with the Chesapeake Bay at every turn.
