Memorial Day Weekend
From 4–6 PM, join us under the shade of the big tree on our lawn for the official launch of our very own Widgeon Oyster. Learn the story behind its cultivation, meet our ecologist Will Smiley and enjoy a freshly shucked Widgeon.
The evening continues at Salt & Meadow, where you can enjoy an oyster trio featuring the Widgeon Oyster or reserve limited seating for a five-course tasting menu beginning promptly at 6:30 PM ($150 per person, with optional $75 wine pairings). We will be offering Ala Carte Service from our Salt and Meadow Menu as well as Fish Hawk for those that chose not to enjoy the Tasting menu.
Throughout the day, our signature waterfront, culinary and garden experiences will also be available – inviting you to explore, taste and connect with the Chesapeake Bay all weekend long.
Lawn games will be available all day – including cornhole, bocce, life-size Jenga and Connect Four – perfect for friendly competition along Carter’s Creek.
A DJ by the pool will help kick off the festivities.
For the evening, join us for a classic Memorial Day Barbecue on the lawn from 6–9 PM, featuring smoked chicken, ribs, and brisket paired with Southern favorites like collard greens and cornbread, plus sweet treats to finish. Cocktails will be available from Fish Hawk and Salt & Meadow.
Pricing is $120 per adult and $75 for children
In addition to these featured events, our signature Tides Inn experiences will be offered throughout the day – from waterfront adventures to hands-on culinary and garden programs.
Spend the day enjoying classic summer fun at The Tides Inn with lawn games available all day, including cornhole, bocce, life-size Jenga and Connect Four set against our waterfront backdrop.
Families are invited to join our garden tours designed especially for children, where little hands can help plant potted herbs, tomatoes, peppers and easy blooms – an experience that’s just as enjoyable for parents.
In the afternoon, gather for Trivia at Fish Hawk from 2–3:30 PM , with the option to order from the Fish Hawk menu.
As evening settles in, unwind with a Movie on the Lawn at 7:30 PM, the perfect close to a day by Carter’s Creek.
