Trails of Tides
While a guest at our resort, we invite you to connect with nature on three trails: Shoreline Trail, Woodland Trail and Forest Trail. You will find a copy of our map in your guest room. The concierge will be happy to provide you with extra copies.
Golf
The 18-hole Golden Eagle Golf Course features exciting elevation changes and well-placed bunkers for all skill levels, along with a driving range and clubhouse.
Kayaks, Canoes & Paddleboards
After choosing your favorite type of watercraft, stop by the Tides Inn Marina office for a map of Carter’s Creek, a list of the wildlife you may see around the peninsula and information on guided tours. All kayaks, canoes and paddleboards are complimentary during your stay.
Tennis & Pickleball
Enjoy a family-friendly game of pickleball on one of our courts. Combining the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is a sport for all ages and skill levels. Play a match or practice your swing at the Tides Inn’s tennis courts, surrounded by the natural beauty of Virginia’s Northern Neck.
Self-Guided Shoreline Tour
Join our team for a complimentary walk along our Shoreline Trail. The Tides Inn Living Shoreline is a cornerstone of our waterfront and a reflection of our commitment to the Chesapeake Bay. As part of our renovation, we created the largest living shoreline on the East Coast, replacing bulkheads with native grasses and oyster shell to reduce erosion, improve water quality and create habitat.
Bicycles & E-Bikes
Hop on one of our bicycles or e-bikes and enjoy a leisurely ride around the quaint town of Irvington.
Fitness Center
Our Fitness Center is open 24 hours a day and enjoys views of Carter’s Creek. Join us for one of the classes held here or outside, or hop on a Peloton bike and ride along.
Lawn Games
Enjoy corn hole, giant Jenga, bocce ball, Connect Four or croquet. Some activities are seasonal and may incur an additional fee.
Parlor Board Games
Discover classic board games like checkers, chess, Battleship, Scrabble and other favorites in the View Room. Settle into a comfortable seat in front of the fireplace as you take in water views through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
