Earth Day 2026
In honor of Earth Day, join Tides Inn ecologist Will Smiley for a meaningful morning of Oyster Restoration and shoreline clean-up along Carter’s Creek. Volunteers will assist with shell bagging to help build oyster reefs - a vital part of restoring the Chesapeake Bay’s ecosystem.

Cocktail Boat Racing
After nearly a decade away from Virginia waters, this iconic event is finally returning. On May 9, the Tides Inn proudly welcomes back Cocktail Boat Racing with the inaugural Tidewater Cup, bringing racers, spectators, and shoreline cheers to Carter’s Creek for a day fueled by adrenaline and coastal camaraderie.
